Gift FAQs
Is it a good idea to include gift receipts when giving a wedding or baby gift?
Yes. When it is possible, include a gift receipt. Sometimes a couple will receive more than one of what they asked for on their wedding registry and often times the wrong size or gender specific item for a baby is chosen, therefore a gift receipt makes it much easier for the recipient to exchange the gift if necessary.
Which wine do you select if you don’t know what type of wine the recipient prefers?
If you are unaware of the recipients wine preference the best thing to do is to give both a white wine and a red wine. Go to a winery or speak with someone who knows all about wine to give you an idea of what type and brands are most popular and have the best quality.
If your recipients have food allergies is a food gift a good idea to give?
Depends on the severity of the allergy and what they are allergic to.
Be very careful in choosing foods that have absolutely no trace of the food they are allergic to. If they are allergic to peanuts, be sure the product was not made in a factory that makes other products that include peanuts. Select gifts with a detailed ingredient label so they can judge whether or not the food is safe for them to eat.
Do you have to follow traditional or modern gift guidelines when selecting wedding anniversary gifts?
No. The guidelines are simply there for people who want to follow the more common and tradition route. Any gift will sure to be appreciated.
