Baby Gifts
When selecting baby gifts there are a few things you need to consider. The gender of the baby is an important factor however some parents choose not to find out what the baby is until it is born. In this case, purchase items that are not gender specific. If you do buy gender specific baby shower gifts, be sure to keep the receipt so they can be returned if needed.
The size of baby gifts, especially clothing, is also something to be considered. Babies grow at a rapid pace, especially in the beginning. While newborn clothes are a necessity for the first little while, babies grow out of them quickly. So, consider buying clothing that they can wear when they are older. When buying larger sizes, be sure they are seasonally appropriate. For instance, if the baby is due in January, a 6-9 month size would likely be worn in the summer, so a winter outfit in that size would probably not be appropriate.
Gift baskets make great baby gifts as well. Baskets usually include small items such as pacifiers, bottles, wash cloths, toys and blankets. Remember that babies go through tons of diapers, so diapers and baby wipes are always a great idea to include in the gift. Large items such as cribs, car seats, and strollers are also essential and make great gifts. If the big items are too expensive for your budget, many times you can find other people to pitch in with you.
